Review on Fanimation Ascension Ceiling Fan FP6717MW by Rhonda Babson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The world's loudest fan that keeps you awake.

I just bought this fan and it is very different from the pictures. Each of the blades comes out straight and then curves down about 4 inches from the end of the blade at a 45 degree angle, making the fan look very droopy and odd. From the photo it looks like the blades are perfectly straight. until the end. I suspect those drooping blades are what makes it so noisy. With the fan running at its top two speeds, I literally feel like I'm on a Boeing 747, taking off from the runway every 10 seconds. This noise is bearable for 30 to 60 seconds of takeoff, but imagine if it were 10 times louder and you had to listen to it all night. the highest speed. That's ridiculous. Speaking of speeds, speed settings make absolutely no sense. On the wall switch, the settings go from 0 below to 1 above, then 2, then 3. Common sense would say 0 is off, 1 is slowest speed, 2 is medium speed and 3 is highest speed, but this one pointless Fan has 1 as h the highest speed and 3 as the lowest speed. In other words, it goes (from bottom to top) OFF-HIGH-MEDIUM-LOW. And this other lady was right about the screws sticking out through the bottom of the fan and looking very ostentatious. Unfortunately, I didn't realize how ugly or noisy this fan was until an electrician installed it. Shame on Fanimation for inaccurately portraying this product and shame on Revain for allowing it to happen.
