Let me tell you a secret. I bought this Bestisan subwoofer without my wife knowing because she doesn't really like the 5.0 setting I set up for our 65" TV in the living room (because of her complaints I was even forced to change the calibrated volume of the left surround back speaker which is next to her on the couch) and I knew that if I showed her a regular subwoofer and told her I wanted to install it to do that, she would go mad Complete the system to make it a full 5.1. In any case, given the layout of the living room, including the fairly long cabinet that our TV sits on, it's not a very good spot for me to place a traditional subwoofer. In this case I was looking for a smaller, flatter subwoofer that I could covertly mount in a closet, but couldn't find anything the right size until I saw the Bestisan subwoofer on the Revain website and ordered it. The TV cabinet has smoked glass sliding doors at each end of the cabinet. When my wife wasn't around, I installed the subwoofer on the bottom shelf behind the right sliding door, the speaker on the bottom above the bottom vents, and the side speaker connector on the vents on the back of the cabinet. The back of the cabinet is about five inches from the wall, and I figured that the sound bouncing off the wall would be an additional source for the speaker to get into the room). I also put a piece of thin chipboard under the base where the speaker was routed to keep the sound from being absorbed by the carpet. I then connected the subwoofer to the tuner/amplifier and ran the tuner/amplifier speaker calibration procedure again to turn on the new subwoofer and make the system a full 5.1. Sound outputs during the process indicated that the subwoofer was working properly. I then tested the 5.1 audio output with some relevant YouTube videos. I was surprised that the Bestisan subwoofer performed well in this location. Although the bass in my system was quite good before the subwoofer was installed because the other speakers reproduced it quite well, with the Bestisan subwoofer the bass in the system is now of noticeably better quality and depth than before the installation. I then used the tuner/amplifier speaker settings again to lower the volume of the surround back left speaker so my wife would stop complaining about that speaker and wondering why its volume had gotten too loud. Overall, I am very happy with the Bestisan subwoofer, mainly because of its relatively low price.
