Terrible smell in this case

The case itself is good but the smell is terrible - like chemicals. I took it out of the box, opened it up and put a dryer in each half to try and get rid of the smell because it couldn't be used with that smell - it literally burns your nose and permeates the whole room. A week has passed, the smell is almost gone but not quite.
