Review on F Color Training Rechargeable Waterproof Vibrating by Amy Kearse

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best training collar I have ever seen

I have seen many training collars and this is the best. I used it for about two months before writing this review and had no problems. This is one of the cheapest training collars out there, but one of the best in terms of features, range, and battery life. is one of the longest: Austin has a HUGE open turf dog park (Zilker) and walks more than two or three football fields away. If I see him, the signal will reach him. (He turns to look for me when the beep goes off.) The handheld remote is small but functional and easy to use for even my XL "man's hands". The functions of the remote control are intuitive and clear. The display is large and clear even in bright sunlight. The display is also backlit with an indiglow blue backlight so you can read it even at night. The shock and vibration functions scale from 1 to 100, giving you a variety of settings to adjust to suit your dog depending on how much it is encouraged. She needs. It also has shock, vibrate, and beep modes. It also comes with silicone tabs that cover the shock knots and reduce the force of impact if desired. A small LED flashlight is the perfect level for searching for poop or seeing where you're going at dusk or at night. The battery life is also surprisingly good. The remote will hold a charge much longer because it doesn't use energy to create a shock. The display has a battery level indicator. The only complaint I have is that there is no battery meter on the collar so you don't know when it needs to be charged. As many dog owners have told me before buying this collar, you really need to use a few zaps before the dog learns to respect the collar. The blow is uncomfortable but does not cause permanent injury. (If you constantly use the shock function, you are doing something wrong). Even if you have to use a shock, it only serves as a temporary reminder. While the highest level is like a light stun gun, lower levels are more like gentle punches. Some large dogs may require the highest level. My dog is medium sized (50 pounds) and I didn't have to go over 30/100. After the first two or three shocks, a beep usually serves as a reminder to listen to your command. My dog is very loyal and gets along well with me off a leash. But his weakness is his enthusiasm (and speed) at the sight of other dogs, and he would continue off-leash to other dogs in the park no matter what I did (yelling, running, using treats, etc.). So I needed something to strengthen the teams so he wouldn't scare others or cause unnecessary conflict. It worked. Two or three little nudges and now he obeys when he hears the beep: almost like it's a reminder not to "ignore him." Now he listens better even when the collar is not on, which helps us avoid innocent collisions or conflicts. Overall this is a well made product with all the features you could possibly need and it does the job perfectly. Very happy with it.
