Review on ZOMEI Aluminum Portable Tripod: Professional Compact Travel for Nikon Canon Sony DSLR Cameras by Nick Kirschenmann

Excellent tripod for the price

This is a great tripod for beginners and semi-pros alike. The included ball head is better than many comparable clones. The bag is great. I wouldn't say this is a portable lightweight tripod. In fact, it weighs 3.71 pounds just for the tripod and ball head. However, you will be rewarded with better stability and features compared to other lighter clones with similar design. The ball head on this tripod has three knobs, not just the two knobs I've seen on similar clones. They have one for each degree of freedom, pitch, roll and yaw. Although the pitch and roll controls are not entirely independent. Tightening one axle affects the resistance of the other axle. If you want to block it, this one blocks very well. The yaw motion is very stiff but smooth. I expect it will loosen up a bit over time. I see that you can easily use medium weight settings with this ball head. There are no problems up to 5 kg. In addition, you can not wish. This tripod is quite solid up to the maximum height extension. There is some camera shake at the maximum level, and the best extension level is below that. В цего-то подобногом, это хранитель for me, although I also have a slightly smaller and lighter cloned version of this from another manufacturer, it works pretty much the same. This will be my car, in the backyard, on a tripod. My other will be for backpacking, trail, downtown, etc. For this price I would buy it again.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
