For years I've used Clorox 2 instead of bleach to soak socks and underwear and sometimes anything that's heavily soiled. Before the pandemic, it was common in my area. It disappeared from store shelves almost overnight and hasn't returned to this day. It's not the same pack I bought in one of the discount stores before, but the cost per ounce is about twice what I paid prior to March of last year. However, I've tried a few other products in the meantime and they didn't work as well and I had to use more, which is why they cost more.
