I bought these shoes for my 91 year old mother who has problems with her feet. We talked about her shoe problems and it wasn't fun trying to find something that fit her in department stores. We even went to expensive shoe stores to try them on and although they got her a pair of shoes, her budget doesn't stretch to $300 for a pair of shoes every few months. I was confused ordering these shoes for her so I didn't hold my breath thinking how they would fit but they did; especially width 2E. She needs help putting them on, but once they're on; She says they are comfortable and the ankle and arch support is great. She has room on her toes so she's happy. I'm happy because I don't have to hear it anymore. The only thing I would recommend is that some shoes for people with disabilities have zippers or straps instead of laces.
