Review on 🧼 Efficient 5W UV Sterilizer Filter for 10-30 gallon/132 GPH: GRECH CBG-500 Hang-On Back Solution by Amy Ruiz

Well I have to say it's a great filter. Once fired and fine tuned it's very quiet to hang on the rear filter and the media organization is excellent (and arguably superior to the Aquaclear filters. HOWEVER - it wasn't an easy filter to set up. No matter how much water I poured in. And it sucked sucked in a huge amount of air which made a lot of noise at first. I searched the manual for troubleshooting help but to no avail. Luckily a few helpful Revain reviewers mentioned trying to verify the surface skimmer and water intake adjustment knobs were on when I squeezed them the filter suddenly started to work but it was still noisy To remove the handles and see what was going on I found ill fitting and damaged o-rings and replaced them as well coated with a very small amount of food grade silicone grease. Suddenly the filter worked beautifully. It had an excellent e flow control and even with the skimmer it was almost silent. Now it works great and is probably one of the best HOB filters out there. I would rate it 5 stars if I didn't have to do so much troubleshooting and replacing o-rings before it worked. The factory clearly has quality control issues. However, when it works, it's a phenomenal filter.
