Very Soft Elastic Band. The part that contracts is transparent, unlike the images. I wanted black. it would only deduct one star. I took off another star because the parts that connect to the Fitbit are pretty loose. otherwise it's good enough. I wanted something that would allow me to wear the Fitbit on my shoulder without digging into my flesh like the rubber strap that comes with the watch does.
