I use this in the bedroom. I sleep on one side of the large bed (dogs sleep on the other side). My Happi is on the bedside table on the other side of the bed. So about three or four meters away. I run it automatically. I do not hear anything. I don't use night mode, I don't see a need for it. Very, very calm. If I stand next to him and get very quiet, I can hardly hear him. The UV light is weak - you can see a very faint glow coming from within - nothing to disturb my sleep. The sensor on the front is well lit but not pointed at me. If I set it up so I'm looking straight at it in bed, I might have to go to sleep to turn off the sensor. So for a bedroom air purifier, this is great. The readings were between blue (good air quality) and white (excellent air quality). After a few days, the readings got better and better. I have noticed that the air quality deteriorates when I open the window. Makes sense, I get dust and pollen from the outside. After the windows are closed for a while, the air quality improves. I also have a cleaning lady and the quality went down after cleaning. Again, this makes sense, dust and a vacuum cleaner picks up dust and dirt. Here, too, the quality has improved in a very short time. I have mild allergies and this seems to help. I better sleep with him in my room. I was impressed with how well made it was and how easy it was to set up and operate. The only minor downside was trying to get info on replacement filters. I had to hunt a bit. They don't sell them through Revain. Their website was listed in the manual and I found that they sell replacement parts there. I don't think I need to change them often. The owner's manual says to take the filter out and wipe it down every full month to remove debris and put it back in. They don't give a specific filter change interval as it depends on usage. In general very satisfied. .
