Pretty amazing! good for jigsaw puzzles

This is the third wooden model I've bought and built, and perhaps the most impressive. I would rate this as an intermediate puzzle/model for older children and adults. I think it took me 4 days for 1.5-2 hours every day. There are no moving parts, so no wax is needed. He has a telescope but no gears. Lots of small parts but that was the first, I had lots of spares so if you lose a pair it's not a problem. No glue is required for assembly, but you may need some if you break a piece or two. You can either use a razor if you're ok with that, or you can pull the part and frame apart in the right place and it just pops out. If you twist the pieces to separate them, they will splinter and break. I think the instructions have a good description of the technique of "pushing out" a piece. It's really easy once you figure it out, at least it was for me. Patience is definitely required to read and assemble the instructions. The good thing is, if you mess it up, it can be taken apart and put back together if you're careful. This is a beautiful decoration on my dresser and goes well with the theme of my room. Many people have complimented me on how unique it is and the details used in the design. Definitely worth every penny and the time I spent making it. Great gift for those who are interested in ships, pirates, space, exploration, etc.

Pros
  • GREAT GIFT AND HOME DECOR: This is a perfect and creative gift to surprise friends, family, birthday/Christmas. A good choice for those who love DIY. It looks great and beautiful to display on your desk. With a retractable tripod, it can become a decoration for your office or living room.
