Lid. The new lid design works and actually protects against spills (not just spills) when closed, but at least the first few times it's a little...confusing to use. To open it for drinking, turn the cap clockwise (CW) to the notch and to close it counterclockwise (CCW) to the notch, both of which counter the intuitive notion of "right tight, left loose". Again, to remove the top cover, counterclockwise is intuitive, and the bottom cover is also clockwise on and counterclockwise off by default. Cleaning the lid by hand doesn't seem any easier than most other vacuum water bottles I've used/seen other than those with a pop-out straw/nozzle. - The flow rate is good for slowly drinking something like coffee or tea, but it's a bit low when you want to drink water; Think a little more than a Starbucks cap. It seems more suitable for everyday use than sporty. It would be possible to (unscrew) the entire lid for this, but: 1 - it's a bit tight as it requires more tension than the top lid and 2 - as it's smooth on all sides it would be difficult with wet/sweaty insulation . Current product claims of 12 hours hot and 24 hours cold are overstated/optimistic, but performance is comparable to similar vacuum insulated bottles. ). The seams on the inside are neat. Everything looks solid. Etc. As it appears to be better suited for home/office/car/shop use, a rubber/silicone bottom would be a useful feature as with some other similar tumblers/bottles as it would help prevent dents and a to avoid heavy rattling when lowering the bottle. FYI, there's no box or bag for product packaging, so you should probably order this with something else so it ships in a box rather than just an unfilled plastic bag. Mine came last and had a small dent. Although this is not taken into account in the ranking.
