Review on Injen Technology IS1970P Polished Intake by Thasapon Bowers

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Solid, minor issues

Installation took a little longer than expected although it wasn't really difficult. The bolt holes for my MAF sensor didn't line up with the tube that came with it, so I was only able to tighten three of the four bolts (although that's enough). The instructions have been illustrated with black and white images and are quite clear although a little study is required. All you need is a flathead screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver and a hose splicing knife. However, be careful when tightening the brackets closest to the throttle body and make sure they do not interfere with the throttle cable. Mine partially blocked the cable, causing the throttle to get stuck in the open position while riding. Easy to attach, just twist the mount so it doesn't jam. I don't know how it affects MPG or PS yet, but the sound sounds more raspy under hard acceleration. However, I don't see a great advantage in this, since it is located directly behind the battery (Altima 2001) and has no direct contact with the outside air.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Pretty much everything ok
