Very cool little jet/filter/wave generator/aerator. There was a lot of black foam filter pieces on it when unpacked, but a quick rinse fixed that. The impeller was coated with an unknown oil/grease, but wiping with a paper towel and soaking in hot water in a bucket and wiping with a paper towel again appears to have removed it. The air intake in the surge nozzle is excellent. Uses a venturi so you don't need an air pump. After installation, the fish went nuts. A big lazy Oscar and a few surviving Black Salt Feeders immediately threw themselves into the bubbling current and swam out again. I see most of the action outside of the Oscars, with the exception of New Feeder Day. Even my Plecos liked it. Installed in a 55 gallon tank and works very well. would recommend.
