You might think that all issues related to this product are timing issues. There are enough troubleshooting instructions in the box. Phew, zero, zero. It's sad when you have to resort to customer reviews to start the troubleshooting process (it didn't work in my case). All of this to say I only paid $25 for the entire kit which supposedly included a new and improved wiring harness/relay and switch in addition to the lights which are super bright btw. Unfortunately I will never get back the 5 hours I wasted installing and troubleshooting these lights. I am returning them and decided to give another set a chance to work. I love the concept and am hoping mine were defective and the next pair actually work. My recommendation to anyone who can read this. If you're new to electronics, spend a little more and get a good set of single-mode LED modules. Don't waste your money and time on this. Update: Here's what happens when you buy cheap junk. Make one more try before picking up and returning. Still unable to resolve the sync/mode issue. I even called their customer service where I spoke to a representative (but couldn't understand a word). 20 minutes, I'll never come back. During disassembly, the fastening nuts, which slide in the guide on the lantern body, were pulled out through the keyway of the guide. In short, these flashlights are complete in every way and utterly useless in both build quality and function. At $10 more, Nilights is 10 times better in quality. Stay away from NAOEVO.
