Review on GM Genuine Parts 22807122: High-Quality Heating & AC Blower Motor Resistor by Aaron Thawngzauk

I spent extra money to buy this AC Delco part, supposedly original. I could pay about half that for another well rated product. I say supposedly because that's NOT my factory part. Don't get me wrong, it works and it's good, but it's still not OEM. If you purchase and install this part, if your installation is similar to mine, you must install this part backwards from the original factory part. If you examine the OEM part and this one you will notice that the mounting tabs are angled. If you study further, you will see that the factory block and this one are tilted exactly against each other. So if you just look at the orientation of the factory part and logically assume you can mount it the same way, well, that's it. will not work. This should be installed with the wiring harness facing out, not in like your OEM. It fits and works as intended, just be careful how you line up the setup. For the installation process, there are many online videos to guide you through the process. My own installation went pretty smoothly and was done in about 20 minutes. My Silverado had a full console that goes all the way to the dash and it would be a challenge to completely remove the lower heater housing. Remove and replace resistor. Enjoy and don't let this review hold you back, it's just trying to inform you.
