In this case there was no form of screen protection, ie. strained glass. Luckily I ordered one. This case consists of two hard plastic halves that snap around the device and are then encased by a third soft rubber shell. This case will definitely protect your device from falling. However, I was very disappointed that the two plastic halves didn't snap securely into the sides of the device and there was an awkward creaking and moving under the rubber. I think it's still a good deal for what I paid, but I recommend looking for other options.
