These are super secure! I can hold up my bag by the pins and shake, and they still don't come off. I used to be afraid to put my pins on anything because I thought they'd fall off, but now my backpack is covered with them! Theses are very easy to use, just put the tiny screw-like thing into the cylinder and tighten with the included hex wrench. I put all the screws into the cylinders in advance without tightening them so they don't get lost, and so it's easy to just pop them on and tighten. I recommend putting the larger part in some playdoh or something similar to keep it in place and with the hole facing upwards while you put the screw in. I only took off a star because the pack has a few that are broken.
