Review on Enhanced AppRadio Mode VGA Interface Cable Kit for iPhone 5 by Pioneer CDIV202NAVI by William Dean

I first returned Pioneer's first VGA interface cable set for iPhone 5 because it didn't allow audio or video playback. The second one I bought did the same thing, so I concluded it had something to do with the head unit (AVIC-Z140BH). The professional installer didn't know what the problem was. Although it wasn't in the instructions, I found online that the firmware needed to be updated. After that, the iPhone 5 became compatible. However, this adapter does not work as easily as the previous iPhone generation with the "old" connector (CD-IU50V USB). You need to download and run AppRadio, to play music or videos. Also, the sound is transmitted via Bluetooth, not the connector. It would be a great product if the documentation was better and the interface worked like the CD-IU50V USB. Too bad the CD-IU50V USB dongle can't stream video through the Lightning dongle. The CDIV202NAVI works and at least now I can use my current cell phone.
