Definitely easy to use, just plug in and Windows 7 or 10 will recognize the device. Insert a disc and try to work with it. I say try because I had very poor results. I was able to copy some files to my hard drive; However, I could only copy no more than half of the files from each drive. None of the discs could be copied 100%. Definitely a lot of chugging and clanking from the disk/device when trying to process them. I contacted support and they suggested that the old drives were to blame. While I respect older drives and expect some errors, the number of errors indicates that the hardware is faulty or not able to work reliably - that's the point of using such a device. I'll see if I can find an older system with an internal drive to compare it to and if so please update this review. UPDATE: I was able to connect an old desktop system with an internal 3.5" FDD and the drives are readable. perfect. I expect the external device to be able to read anything the internal drive can read. Either I received a bad product or the product is unreliable. Given that I was told by the seller to "expect copying problems" but verified that everything is fine with the disks, I am inclined to believe that the product is unreliable. The seller answered my question promptly. I think it's fair to note this as well.
