If you're looking for a large Cal King bedspread that extends to the sides of your bed, this is it. Really great Cal King linens are hard to find. We have a very high bed that looks exactly like the picture and we have a 14ft mattress and a 9 1/2 inch box spring. I'm happy about 50 dollars. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because it had a HORRIBLE smell when it arrived. I had to wash it 3 times in vinegar and detergent. The 3rd time I washed it hot with Tide Sport Odor Control and my husband's Febreze. After the 3rd wash, the color has faded a bit. Not sure if it was the Tide Sport or the hot water, probably the hot water. I couldn't get rid of the smell without hot water. The color is still beautiful, just a little faded like it's been washed 20 times. If you buy this I recommend only cold water and sport tide. After washing and drying, it is very soft and comfortable. It's very light but still warm I think it will be great for the Texas summer weather. I hope this helps you.
