Review on Bar Mitts Cold Weather Handlebar Mittens for Road Bicycles, Compatible with Campy/SRAM/Shimano Shifters and Internally Routed Cables by Daniel Morris

They work! no more numbness in fingers and thumbs.

I bought cuffed mittens with internal cords. I drove to work this morning to try them out and they worked great. The temperature dropped to 1 degree Celsius (34 F). It gets cold here until -4. I wore a light merino liner with a thin windproof glove over it and was fine. I mostly wore thicker winter gloves and even then my fingers were numb and sore all day in this temperature. At the very beginning my hands were cool from the cold steering wheel and brake caps, but as my hands got warm I felt comfortable in gloves. I read another review that said I ordered the large size and they really didn't want to be smaller. My height is 175 cm (6 feet). I missed a couple of times when I held out my hand to signal when I wasn't looking, but that wasn't a problem. On the way home, a gust of wind blew the steering wheel a little, but not much. The only compromise might be that they block my headlight's direct view when they are near me, there is a reflective patch on the front of the mittens. I think in heavy rain with a tailwind they get wet inside but I still avoid riding in the rain. Highly recommended, no more excuses in cold weather.
