Review on Valterra D04 0250 Dominator Sewer Hose by Don Santos

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great smelly slinky!

I bought this smelly skinny suit 2 months ago. I also bought a set of drip caps and matching 10ft and 5ft extensions. These are very well made hoses for the money you are spending and Revain had by far the best price on them with a Prime membership so you can get them in 2 days with free shipping. Ordering them elsewhere without a special shipping deal is prohibitively expensive given their size, otherwise you can buy them locally with VAT included. The hoses and fittings are very well made. So far, not a single drop or leak of drains has flowed at any junction. We use them all the time, they make the job of poop control a pleasure. You can take this hose and bend it into certain positions because of its design and it will hold you. If you've ever been in a situation where you had to lift a hose up and over a curb or outlet opening that it lifted high off the ground, now everything works and stays in place. No more rocks, boards, or holding onto your toned body while you perform this massive reset. I also have one of those Camco 43041 RV Sidewinder 15 foot foldable skinny support legs with a plastic sewer hose that stretches 15 feet and the usual stinky fit has ballooned at times causing the hose to sag and kink. This is no longer a problem with these Dominator hoses. You make him fall and he stays in place! I think it's important to note that while these hoses don't claim to be the fancy smooth-walled anti-crush tricks you see, I've never had a problem making sure they're clean after use. I've never had to try to point a hose at them at the risk of splashing in your face just to try and wash off the last nugget or chunk of corn before putting it away for safekeeping. Also, buy a Valterra T1020-3VP Drip Cap Kit to keep them. Not only do they seal the form-fitting airtight material, they also keep it fully compressed as they are airtight and make hose storage easier. Anyone with an RV should know never camp with the black water tank valve open, you must keep it closed to create a dump load. It's that whistling pressure from all those gallons that keeps your RV water system happy. Then you should always go to this huge landfill with the start of a gray water flush to clean the hose. Without a very good van sewer hose set to deal with on a regular basis, you can end up with a real mess on your hands. Spend the extra money and buy a really good hose set from the start. You end up wasting them anyway if you buy some standard hoses and fittings to get the hang of keeping things going, they always leak and are awkward to store. Wow 2+ years and these hoses are still in great condition. Please note that we do not use them for long term agreements. Transport, storage and unpacking all have their wear and tear points and this is where the cheap hoses usually fail faster. I believe that prolonged use can result in longer exposure to the elements and a different type of wear, which is probably why ours still look the same as the day I bought them. On average, they use 60 to 90 days a year. Nothing will survive the Dominator. It goes on and on and on and on Okay I think you get the point. :) So far they have far exceeded my expectations for the durability of the product. More recently we've increased their use when our work trips sometimes give us the opportunity to travel to places and stay in a certain location (mostly in the DC area) for a month, even during the winter months. I estimate that in the last 12 months these hoses have been used a total of 6.5 months, 5 of which were one month each, the remainder being shorter "holiday trips". No issues, still no leaks and looking very good for its age!
