This adapter is fine. Not good. Fine. It converts component to HDMI as intended, but has a few downsides: the most notable of which is that black levels appear almost brown. It's not very noticeable during gameplay (except in dark scenes), but it's there and a little disappointing. Another disadvantage is that my capture card, Hauppauge HD PVR 2, does not see any signal from this unit. But he sees all other devices normally. Also, the HDMI adapter I received was also listed as an upscaler. That may be true, but due to the nature of 480p, results are limited. Of course, this use on my 4k TV does not help. I compare this "zoom" to the Wii U when playing Wii games on it (or PS2 games played on PS3). Overall, I will most likely look for another HDMI solution for my Wii. Brownish "blacks" and the fact that my recorder doesn't see it is ruining my life.
