Great product. Converts Wii to HDMI signal. Regardless of the resolution you use with the Wii before using this product, you will have the SAME resolution. I had 480p with a component video cable, now I have the same image through a 1080p projector. With this product you can only connect your Wii via the HDMI input. My Wii looked as good as a Wii could get through my old component video receiver. Now with this product I have connected the Wii via the HDMI input and it looks just as good. I am…

Somewhat imperfect but still very good

This adapter really works and makes your Wii MUCH better on HDTV compared to AV cables and even composite cables. Although I have to correct a small mistake in the picture. There are diagonal stripes that are constantly moving across the screen, but they are very light and I only notice them with stationary solid colors on the screen. When your game has a lot going on visually, it's hard to notice. Bottom line I still love this product because it still greatly improves the picture quality and I

Working but has flaws Cables and adapters

This adapter is fine. Not good. Fine. It converts component to HDMI as intended, but has a few downsides: the most notable of which is that black levels appear almost brown. It's not very noticeable during gameplay (except in dark scenes), but it's there and a little disappointing. Another disadvantage is that my capture card, Hauppauge HD PVR 2, does not see any signal from this unit. But he sees all other devices normally. Also, the HDMI adapter I received was also listed as an upscaler. That

  • Poor set

It was definitely the right choice. I have read reviews of the white version of this converter and then this one and I have not been disappointed. Picture quality on our huge TV was crazy, blurry and faded around the edges. I know some of this has to do with the TV itself, but I swear this little thing made such a difference. I immediately noticed an increase in contrast, a lightening of the edge colors and I had no sound distortion. Most people who review them note that the audio on them can…

Affordable progressive scan quality

converter works great! However, I think people should understand that the maximum native resolution of the Wii is 480i or 480p analog output depending on the cable used. Using a standard red, white and yellow cable allows the Wii to carry enough video information on just one wire (yellow) for the signal to be 480i analog interleaved with good video quality. With the component cable, there are 2 more wires for the Wii to send video information, so the Wii signal becomes analog 480p, progressive…
