Affordable progressive scan quality

converter works great! However, I think people should understand that the maximum native resolution of the Wii is 480i or 480p analog output depending on the cable used. Using a standard red, white and yellow cable allows the Wii to carry enough video information on just one wire (yellow) for the signal to be 480i analog interleaved with good video quality. With the component cable, there are 2 more wires for the Wii to send video information, so the Wii signal becomes analog 480p, progressive scan, the video and picture quality is brighter and clearer than 480i because of the additional video information. This is a MAX Wii video. Unfortunately, these two pieces of video information are still analogue signals, which means that the information signal, unlike the HDMI signal, can get lost in the cable because it is completely digital. (Which raises another issue: ALL HDMI cables are the same, don't trust bestbuy geeksquad). However, the converter will NOT magically convert your games to 720p or 1080p, instead Musou's converter takes the analog 480p component video signal and converts it to digital information that is sent over the HDMI cable with very little loss. If your Wii can play GameCube games, it will also show your old GameCube games in progressive scan. At that moment, it magically transforms your game, improving movements and making the video clearer and brighter.
