Can't remember exactly when I bought this, I mean 4 months ago or so? Anyway, it worked flawlessly for the first four months - brewing the perfect amount of coffee, one cup, with no problems. And I never felt like I was missing anything. I also liked the aesthetic of the piece, the bamboo and glass worked well together. I'm less than 5 months old and the French Press accidentally malfunctioned. Whenever I try to use it, there seems to be a lot more resistance when I press it, and then suddenly the resistance drops and everything squirts all over the place. Even if I can control the pressure, there's still a little bit of grist left in my cup, which never happens. All in all it's a great little device, but I'm afraid it wasn't made to last.
