These shorts are super hot for summer. I bought these for my 8 month old boy and they were very thick and durable yes very useful. However, they were too hot for him and often made him sweat. I think they're great for late summer, early fall or windy climates, but I found that while they're comfortable, they're too bulky for him. The quality was great and the length was a bit long and the belt doesn't stretch very much but they are easy to put on and take off and I have no regrets buying them. I will only have to use them when the weather gets a little cooler.
