The size is as expected as I drew it on any sheet of paper before ordering. The magnet is very very strong which is very good and the mirror is excellent. As other reviewers have pointed out, it's a lot heavier than the Z range. The weight gives it a nice premium look. I keep all my makeup and that's enough to touch up the products. The hole itself might be a bit deeper than the Z Palette, but I would have liked a little more depth to accommodate travel-sized brushes as it's definitely made for travel. I use Z palettes to store lipstick (I take it out of the tube a bit).
