DON'T THINK INTO FEEDBACK. DO NOT BUY!

This detangling brush is an absolute disaster. It deserves minus stars. 1) This is the same brush as all other versions from unknown sellers that show up in Revain search results, although they changed the image so it doesn't look like it because that's why I bought it. 2) The handle is engraved "PAT" as if it were patented, but in this case it says "patent pending" or has a patent number. That's a lie. 3) Now let's get to how it was unraveled. I have hair that falls between my shoulder blades when wet, but shrinks to my shoulders when it dries. On wash day, I lightly detangled with conditioner, washed with sulfate-free shampoo, and after rinsing, applied more conditioner to each section to finally detangle with a brush. It doesn't go through my hair. General. Not from the tips to the roots, not between them, nowhere on the hair shaft. The guide states that you should comb your hair horizontally and comb it vertically once it is untangled. It just messed up my hair so much it was the worst wash day I've had in a long time. My hair was straight, it should have been a breeze like the time I used my Tangle Teezer that broke so I need this horrible replacement. The straight, transverse rows of bristles on the "8 shoulders" are too tight for anyone with textured hair. I mean everyone. It's like combing wet hair with a wide-toothed comb. What shoud that?!? The Tangle Teezer does not have straight rows of bristles. No detangling brush should particularly. when they are only millimeters apart! My hair is 4a/4b but mostly 4c. I had to resort to detangling, first holding the brush vertically (since my hair was torn in all directions but loose) and then horizontally, which is the complete opposite of the instructions you can tell they were written by one company / were printed in which there is no English language. Mother tongue. No shadow, but this isn't US copywriting or product instructions. That should have been my first warning. I find it easier to comb my hair with a wide tooth comb. If you have perfectly straight or slightly wavy hair of medium thickness, spend your money on this cheap knock-off. If your hair is textured or thick, don't worry. You'll be spending more hours on your hair than you need to and you'll be shedding a decent amount beyond the norm. To add to the injury, there were rough edges on parts of the brush that had not been sanded or machined! I HATE THIS BRUSH. I am returning mine and the ones I bought for my daughter. DO NOT BUY! Better buy a Tangle Teezer like me
