I only used it yesterday so I didn't test its effectiveness. But as part of the application, the treated area should be wiped with a damp cloth. The spray drips onto the treated area, which means something is happening there. The only problem is that the spray mechanism is devilishly opaque. There is a spacer that needs to be removed before it will swing properly, after that it's easy to use. The small bottle was enough, probably more than enough, to cover the carpets in a Chevy Bolt. You will need two to make seats or a large bottle.
