We just bought the house we grew up in. That's great because the neighbor next door is still baking the cookies he loved in 1980. Epoch. Da Hub was a lot of fun and allowed the kids and I to choose colour, flooring, blinds, countertops, carpet etc. We were almost okay when he hit 2 ceiling fans. Oh those fans. Must have been something special in their day, the intricate copper on the long lower legs, today they are a testament to early 1980's zip-up pants and Miami Vice. We begged and begged, got friends and neighbors to choose sides in the Big Fan debate — they didn't give up. So I googled "ugly fans" and saw these cells. I wasn't expecting much (did I mention fans are REALLY outdated?) but I placed the order anyway. I also go with a pack of Edison light bulbs. My daughter removed the old lamps and globes and put metal frames around the new bulbs. Well, I do not know. Those awful fans look normal now. I don't know if the cages are so big that they're blocking the fan or if it's the bulbs, but in any case the fight against the fans is over. If you're in the midst of fan desperation, to the point where it's affecting your relationship, I highly recommend you give it a try.
