High mids, clean lovers REJOICE!

I'll keep it short and sweet. They are out of production! I'm not anti-bass at all, but every day I prefer crisp low frequencies to loud bass. Everything you read about low frequencies is true. I prefer monitor quality headphones (true tone, flat tuning) and have been looking for great and affordable IEMs (in-ear monitors). Unfortunately, in the upper to mid-range price range, you really have to decide which end of the spectrum you want to go for. I bought a pair of Klipsch x10 and found them exceptionally mediocre. Your highs should be neutral with light bass coverage. Light? no It wasn't insignificant at all. It was almost booming, my head rattling at 65% volume. And I personally found it a bit overweight, even cloudy. Like I said, what you've heard about the lows is true, but I really want to cover the highs because nobody seems to really want that. to dance. I love electronic, inspirational pop music (like Kate Ryan, if you know her). I've used their tracks to really test them out and it's been amazing. Since it was blinding, that means they hit the highs without applying an EQ. DO NOT CHOOSE THE HIGH PRESSURE OPTION! It will distort. However, with the plane off or on, they really shine. If you like amazing vocals with dance environments and soundstage, grab them quick. The bass is so close to perfection in the neutral spectrum that it's amazing. You will NOT get booming bass, and I don't think you'll even get it with an amp, but as far as opting for monitor-style headphones is the way to go. It would be nice to have a REALLY neutral headphone option at this price, or even around $150-200, but we don't live in a perfect world. That's what you're getting right now, and it's not bad at all.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
