First. The seller was great. I ordered late Sunday evening and it arrived at dawn on Monday! But these racks aren't $100 a pair. I spent the extra money just to have something that would fit my Definitive Tech 600 exactly. I had other good stands that needed a bit of tweaking to hold the speakers, so I decided to invest in an exact fit. I have to say I'm shocked that for over $100 a pair the wiring goes UNDER the base but through the pole. There is a hole to put the wire through the pole, but first the wire has to go OVER the ARMCHAIR of the base! He then walks a few inches toward the bar before entering. Pretty ridiculous for the money for a very basic pair of bookshelf speaker stands. The last thing I want to see are the wires running through an otherwise clean, attractive, and simple base. This eliminates the ability to completely hide the wiring under a rug, rug, sofa or furniture as it still has to go outside to get through the nice clean black base! It's really annoying what such a simple design fix is for. In fact, this is a design flaw. Also, the one screw on the bottom of the bar under the base (which prevents the threaded bar from opening fully under the base) isn't the best for keeping things taut and strong. It tends to loosen up as you move things around. An open handle with threads in the base on all sides would be better.
