The app will only work if you provide your router name and password. I don't agree to giving any random company in China access to my network just so I can use voice commands. If the remote control works properly, this problem does not exist. The remote is trash and the sensor is a fire in a trash can. I have placed these lights and sensor behind my arcade, but the remote WILL NOT WORK unless the remote is VERY close to the sensor and completely clear of any obstructions. I literally have to reach for my gaming machine and hold the remote 30cm away from the sensor just to toggle the light on and off. I hate this. Will update this review when the light stops working. So far everything works and I am satisfied with the optics.
