This product does exactly what it is advertised to do. In fact, if you're a patient person, I'd say he's doing fine. However. Everything in this product is an example of "Made in China"; Minimum use of materials, mainly plastic, sufficient functionality, loose tolerances and no value on longevity. In fact, this is a disposable product that acts as a precision tool. In fact, as I said, it's "very compact," the black ring that supports the lenses (lenses?) is just over a quarter of a dollar across. "High power LED" may have been accurate for standards years ago, but it's not the "current" LED, more like an older spherical design, but it's a handy feature and, again, appropriate. "Focus" is also a feature (not a bug), the lens' black ring turns on the thread to bring the lens closer or further from the surface, but for me the thread is loose enough that it a game creates the lens alignment, but worse, means it can't hold focus over time. The lens itself is really tiny, 0.5 inches. The LED switch does the job but looks pretty sloppy. The block hums. But after all that, it does what it's supposed to do and if it ever says it cares, it promises 100% satisfaction. Lifetime Limited Warranty! That alone justifies the purchase price of this usable little magnifier.
