Serum is a light lotion serum as opposed to my favorite Body Shop serum which is more like a gel. It can be worn under a moisturizer or alone. The aroma is not very pleasant. In fact, I used the Avalon Vitamin C Moisturizer once and now I remember why I didn't buy it again: the smell! It reminds me of the smell of rotten oranges on the floor. It's more of a pungent orange smell, similar to the smell of an orange peel after you've peeled it off, rather than the pleasant smell of an orange fruit. In general, the serum is decent. I love the lightness and it seems to improve my skin tone. But I prefer gel-based serums like Body Shop because the gel smoothes the skin a lot better than this lightweight lotion. But if you're looking for a lightweight moisturizer, the Vitality Vitamin C Face Serum is definitely the way to go as it provides some hydration and improves the look of my skin. out. The big twist, however, is the taste. I really would have liked a fresher citrus scent. This would make it very attractive to use.
