This stuff is definitely worth the extra money. The original sculpture is cheaper and might be ok if you're on a budget, but you definitely get what you pay for here. A couple of big issues I have with the cheaper original sculptor is that it's too soft and too sticky. This can make it difficult for you to be precise. You can still make some really cool sculpts with the original, but I never knew what I was missing until I started using the Super Sculpey line or clay. One more thing I don't miss about the original tortilla is that it can be prone to tearing and breaking after cooking. This is not the problem I had with Super Sculpey Clay. It just cooks a tougher end product. To top it off, the color is really cool.
