Review on POLAR H10 HR Sensor: Bluetooth Enabled, ๐Ÿ‹๏ธ Black, M-XXL โ€“ Advanced Accuracy for Heart Rate Monitoring by Monique Franco

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Really good sensor, Polar app needs some work.

I bought a Polar H10 and I'm very happy with the heart rate sensor itself and the ease of use. Pairs easily with my iPhone 7 and third party apps. It pairs well with my COROS Pace Smartwatch for most activities. Cannot be paired with a phone or swim watch due to limitations on Bluetooth's ability to work in water. The Polar H10 has a mode where it can record heart rate during exercise and download the data to your phone after exercise, so you can record heart rate data while swimming. Nice feature in the sensor. The only thing you need to use this feature seems to be to use the Polar Beats app, which still has some bugs. Swimming is not included in the activity menu, so you need to choose another activity like walking, running, various indoor activities, etc. I don't see an option to export this data from Polar Beats to a 3rd party app. The biggest annoyance with the Polar Beats app is that it doesn't work with the Polar watch sensor when it's paired in the phone's general settings. Third-party apps don't have this quirk. I like the sensor and I hope the application will get even better. They do frequent updates, but I don't see how they can overlook that swimming isn't in the main training menu. I haven't had any issues with the H10's performance when cycling, walking or running with third-party apps.

Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
