Review on 🏍️ Yamaha Grip Assembly - 2C0262400000 by Chris Norman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

1) I really like that I can comfortably accelerate to full throttle without having one.

I use this R6 throttle tube as a replacement for the stock FZ-07 throttle body. My research showed that this is a 70 degree turn to full throttle while the standard fz-07 pipe takes 90 degrees to reach full throttle. 1) I really like it when I can comfortably go full throttle without pinching or bending my wrist. 2) Makes downshifts better/easier. 3) To shift up without the clutch, you don't have to press the accelerator pedal as hard. I know it sounds crazy, but I've found that my clicks and upshifts are consistently cleaner and lighter since I put this hose on. No disadvantages. Note to those of you putting this on the FZ-07. I maxed out the throttle cable free play on the side throttle body adjuster and didn't max out my bar side adjustment by half a turn. Anyway, I have the same gas play as before but it was close. I also noticed that this pipe doesn't have as much front to back up/down free play as the standard pipe. Every time I hit a bump or bumps with a standard tube, it would rattle in my hand. It wasn't dangerous and didn't affect the ride in any way, but it was a little annoying. That choke tube reduced that a bit. What could be the reason the hose shook back and forth 3-4 times now only 1-2 and that's minor rattles/tremors. The fz-07 should have had one with this tube from the factory. That being said, if not being able to go full throttle doesn't annoy you, don't worry about this whistle.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
