I read some reviews warning about this but still tried to dispel any doubts so after rinsing thoroughly and adding gravel to my aquarium I decided to wait a bit to see if I have any problems. At first it seemed normal, water changes etc. But after a while I started noticing small black flakes in the pool and realizing that the gravel was actually colored and the color was peeling off quickly in the water. I tried to remove the flakes and ended up having to remove all the water because the flakes were all over the place and the more I tried to pull them out the crazier I found it, but unfortunately removing all the water resulted in an accident and me lost 3 of 4 of my bettas were lovely and sucked losing them before people spoke. I had 4 females in a 7.5 gallon aquarium, they had plenty of space and hiding places and oddly they enjoyed it In each other's company they slept next to each other and acted like it was normal, but I loved watching them swim, their colors were beautiful and they were comfortable to hold
