He chose it himself and is very happy with it. The style was up to him, but from a mom's point of view a great purchase: 1. The boy's offspring is happy with it and wears it every day (value!) 2. They are true to size (more valuable - no exchange necessary!) 3. They are well done (and even more valuable - he can wear them until he outgrows them, maybe next week or so. Given the size of his foot, I could wear them as garden shoes for 10 years. Son of that!) Anyway, I've found that at the advanced age of 13 I have to let my son choose his own style of shoes. We live overseas and shop online a lot, so finding something that looks good, fits well and shows all the signs of durability is very satisfying. Highly recommended! JTG
