Review on GoPro and Action Camera Headrest Mount by Tackform – 10.75 Inches by Andrew Enriquez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Probably the best mount for POV shots in the car.

This mount is a useful product with a solid all-metal construction. I researched some mounts for this purpose and decided to make my own. For the price of a Trackform bracket, building something of the same quality would require more time and materials. The build and finish quality is the same or better than most sports and luxury car interiors, so it doesn't stand out as much. Modular build means you can remove the section to make a shorter mount - I really like that option. To be honest, I wasn't sure how well the mount would stay in place if it was just attached to a post on the headrest, but it's solid - just enough to keep the camera from turning moves or vibrates as long as the seat is stationary, but no longer so rigid, can become a crash safety issue. If you apply enough force to it, it will rotate, but it takes a significant amount of effort to do so. Folding the seat forward and returning it to the upright position never caused the camera to move over several days. Tip: If you're worried about scratching the headrest support trim, cut two pieces of 1/8-inch adhesive-backed foam. Attach rubber foil to match the mounting clip and on both inner surfaces of the clip. Tighten the four screws until the attachment is secure. It's not as hard as it would be without the foam, but more than enough to comfortably carry a GoPro.
