When my new Canon MF743 ran out of yellow toner today I put in a new one from a V4ink I bought, moved the chip and now it prints fine. I am getting a consumables warning, this can be disabled in the printer settings if needed. It's also important to set the printer to continue printing even when it thinks the toner level is low. See my settings in the attached photo. Note that the settings are accessed through the printer's IP address setting, not through the printer's control panel.
