Compare this to a razor like night and day - the handling and smoothness is amazing, the footrest is wider and this scooter is a pleasure to ride so definitely the extra worth money. . My 9 year old son uses it on his skateboard and outside - I've used it too and I'm 138lbs - it felt so good. I recommend as a mom but maybe buy a small stand so the kids can put it away properly to avoid scratches.
