I have severe arthritis in my hands with carpal tunnel which complicates things and absolutely no RX helps. The hot wax machine was good but the heated wax only took 5 minutes. Heating pads with you everywhere. I was unhappy for years and then I saw these gloves. everything was worth a try. They work!. The compression is soft, the little rubber dots really help with normal things like turning doorknobs. Capture your own body heat to warm those joints. I bought the small size and it is perfect. The only complaint I have is the stitching on the seams between the toes. when I put them on or take them off. Being aware of this and one of the stitching on my toe has come undone I will go through all the stitching to reinforce it. not all people sew so this might be a def. downside for some. BUT they are not gardening or work gloves and care must be taken when using them. I personally don't care how they look to people - if they don't let an idiot shake/pump/squeeze their hand in greeting, I'm a happy camper. Buy them - just be gentle
