This is a good cable to prevent accidental theft. It's light and someone has to use wire cutters to cut a wire or lock. This can best be described as an insurance policy to keep honest people honest and give the thief a rest. Within airport security I really only use it to protect our carry-on bags with cameras, ipods etc and my wife's purse. They are small and can be hidden. We don't feel the need to lock the skateboard. I regularly use it everywhere when I'm at bus or train stations. When I'm away on business, I use it almost everywhere to zip up my laptop bag. For what it is and how I use it - 5 stars.
