After 12 years my tote started to leak. I followed the directions others gave in these reviews and in less than twenty minutes I was done. The only suggestion I would add is to replace the gasket on the bottom at the same time. Even if there is no leak, why put everything back together only to find the seal doesn't work. It also taught me to watch plumbers. When I took it apart, I found that they took a shortcut by not using second nuts to clamp the gasket, so it was a matter of time before it leaked, not when. I'm surprised it took 12 years for it to start leaking.
