The LOCK & LOCK oven jar The heat-resistant LOCK & LOCK oven jar is the perfect airtight jar. It has a secure closure with locking mechanism on all four sides of the container. The mounting protrusions are bent down, the plastic at the point of the bend is thin. I haven't used the container for long so I don't know if the pliable plastic will break over time or not. The glass container can be used in the oven at temperatures up to 400 degrees and in the microwave. The lid cannot be used in either. The glass is advertised as having no glass explosion risk as it is not tempered glass. The container measures just over 2 cups and is very handy for single meals or small amounts of leftovers. Cleaning can be an issue. for some. Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean the container, only warm water and a soft cloth should be used for cleaning. Also, containers should not be nested within each other. I like the container but only time will tell if it stays strong.
