good quality. It's dense and warm, perfect for cold weather. My 2 year old son is tall and skinny so the slim fit is great. I wouldn't recommend it for fat kids. My only major complaint about these pants and hence 2 stars is that there is almost no elastic in the waist so you have to rely on the drawstring. The problem is that you have to tie it quite tightly to keep the pants up, but that makes it uncomfortable because it doesn't give it the flexibility of other pants with an elastic waistband. Also, the tip is too short to tie a loop, so you have to resort to a double knot, making it difficult to untie. I would definitely not buy this again.
